Looking for the best option on catchers from the waiver wire

Postby Jman93 » Sun Jun 24, 2012 12:29 am

I play in a 6x6 league where the hitting categories are
R HR RBI K SB OPS
I am looking for a change in catcher, right now I have Russel Martin, but he just with him leaving a game early it might be time for a change, I have been shuffling around players at the catcher position, here are some of the options from the waiver wire.
Who would you rather have right now:
Russell Martin
Geovany Soto
Ryan Doumit
Wilin Rosario

I have to say Rosario. He's in a good lineup that hits enough at home to cover up for road woes. He's the best guy for now and the forseeable future. Martin is cooked, Soto looks awful, and Doumit just doesn't have the upside that Rosario has.

I'll agree with Rosario, but I would also check to see if Salvador Perez or Derreck Norris are available on your waiver wire. both have higher upside.

Mark me down as another vote for Rosario. Next would probably go with Doumit.
