Need to Drop A SP

Postby DoctorK24 » Sat Jun 23, 2012 11:29 pm

Okay so my league has all the major pitching categories (W, CG, SV, HR, BB, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP).

I have 7 pitchers and need to drop one. Who would you drop?

Kershaw
Lincecum
Haren
Zimmermann
Capuano
Harrison
Oswalt

Harrison, not even close. Oswalt looks strong enough for half a season and the rest are head and shoulders above Harrison.

Harrison, mainly because he's got the least upside out of the current bunch right now. If Lincecum rights himself, that's a great piece to have, and Oswalt could give you some good numbers if he pitches as well as his debut suggests.

That is a tough question as it is a pretty good staff, I am assuming maybe since you picked up Oswalt to speculate, that you need room. I want to say Lincecum because the the high ERA, but he also gives you a lot of strike outs, and he is Lincecum even if he is not acting like.

I would have to then say Matt Harrison if you have to drop someone.

I would look to maybe add one in a trade for IB upgrade. Combo young and pitch for butler. Something like that. Could shoot higher than butler but hes slowed and you can get him on the cheap. Id try trade lincecum.
