He may be...there is a lot of talk that he only has slider bat speed but at the same time there is a lot of talk of him making some adjustments to his swing to help with that over the last year or so. His numbers have certainly improved while lowering his K rate but it was the PCL. I'm curious to see how he performs...it's certainly possible he's a Kila Ka'aihue type of guy who just doesn't have the bat speed to consistantly excel against major league pitching...we'll see. The Windy City is certainly a better place to get that shot than Petco was, thats for sure.

2-4 today, with another HR.

In 8 games....

.323
3 HR
6 RBI

Very nice to see after last year's struggles. He also has only 3 Ks.

On another note, he only has 1 BB in those 8 games...not sure what to make of that.

All young batters are high strikeout guys. All young pitchers are high walk guys. What gives

I'm pumped to see what he does today against Mike Minor before he's forced to 0-for against The Johan tomorrow.

He's 2-for-3 with a three-run homer so far today against southpaw Johan Santana. Four homers (two off lefties) and nine RBI since the call-up. Wowza.

Definately looks like he has that swing dialed in right now. Looking very solid at the plate, doesn't look like he's overmatched at all.

Finished 4-for-5 today. Now batting .375 through 10 games with four homers, seven runs and nine RBI.

If you're scoring at home, that's as many RBI as he had in 49 games last year with the Friars.
