I really don't think my question was that outlandish given Hosmer 2012 season so far.

Post Hosmer shift his BABIP is down along with power. The only tiny ray this season has been an increased on base.

He's 22. He already proved over a half season that he can succeed at the MLB level, and there's no reason IMO to think this is anything other than a sophomore slump that will be solved when he continues to learn to adjust to the adjustments made to him. The fact that you'd even consider dropping him in a keeper format for a kid who's got nice upside for above average production but absolutely stunk during a brief cup of coffee is kid of baffling to me though. There's gotta be a way to roster both without cutting Hosmer, I'd guarantee that if I saw your roster, but there's no way on Earth this is anything other than outlandish what-have-you-done-for-me-lately thinking otherwise. Not trying to troll here, just an total knee-jerk question IMO.
