Massive Trout deal

Postby mak1277 » Sat Jun 23, 2012 2:49 pm

12 team mixedkeeper. OPS instead of Avg. I'm neck and neck for first right now and just received the following offer:

I get: Cano, Verlander, Valverde
I give: Trout, Cuddyer

None of the guys I get can be kept past this year. Trout, on the other hand, can be kept for four more years at the cost of a 10th round pick. I know that's hugely valuable.

Feedback? I'll help on yours too.

C, posey
1, votto
2, Cuddyer
3, Sandoval
Ss, Reyes
Of, trout, mccutchen, Bruce, heyward
Sp, Greinke, Kennedy, Strasburg, CJ Wilson
Rp, Kimbrell, Wilhelmsen

No chance I'm trading Trout with 4 years of control left for a batch you can't keep. I don't really even care who it is 8-o

This is a tough one. You obviously get a TON in return for this year, and the goal of this game is to win. If you win this year by making this deal, then it was a success. Seeing as how you are battling for first, this would be the time to make such a deal. I wouldn't fault you at all if you decided to make this deal.

If I were you, it would depend on your keeper rules. How many can you keep? Who are your other keepers? If you still have valuable keepers like McCutchen, Posey, etc. that you can keep at great values then it might make dealing Trout a bit easier to swallow.

Best of luck as I really think this is a tough one.

Thoughts on either of my questions? Take your pick or go for both. :-B

That's a win now deal if I ever saw one.

Cano >>> Cuddyear

Verlander huge to your SP.

Valverde will close again soon.

Gotta do it. So much value this year, should put you over the top.

Please help with mine
