I'm kind of torn on this one because you're both giving up the best player in the deal but also getting pretty good value in return. If it's a redraft league I think I'm leaning towards yes because of the small dropoff at 1B that buys you a solid 3rd/4th OF and probably the second-best starter on your staff (who I think will bounce back and pitch better in the second half). I'm not like jumping up and down, but I see the logic behind the deal and think it's either a push or a slight advantage to you - if you think you need the pitching, gopher it

I know Konerko keeps silencing the critics, but that's very risky to trade away one of, if not the best player in baseball when you're getting a 36 year old to replace him. Also you aren't really hurting at OF. I think if you really want pitching and I can understand that, you could get Verlander or Kershaw and a solid first baseman for Cabrera. At the same time, you're pitching isn't awful, you just need Kennedy and Lincecum to come around. Kennedy probably will, he's already showing good signs, and you aren't dropping Lincecum anytime soon. I think I'd stay put, but I'd explore aiming higher with Cabrera.
