I am in a H2H points league where we keep 4 players after the season. Ace pitchers will score the most, but hitters certainly have their value. Another owner proposed the following trade:
I GET: OF Hamilton, SP Lincecum, SP Harang/RP Street
HE GETS: OF Trout, SP Hanson, SP Nolasco
-Trout has been the 4th-highest scoring hitter this past month. Hamilton has been "average" over the same span. Keep in mind that Trout is an obvious keeper; he's 20 and looks like a stud. Hamilton is 30.
-Linecum at his best is easily better than Hanson at his best. The problem is, Lincecum's been awful. Peripheral rations suggest he will turn it around. Hanson might be the same all season, for better or worse.
-Nolasco for Harang/Street is basically exchanging dirty laundry.
What do you think?

I wouldn't do it. But that's because I have a man crush on Trout and have been let down by Lincecum all season.

I'd rather have his side for this year, because of Lincecum. I think he will not bounce back. Trout and Hamilton I'd take Trout this year but only by a little.
I'd rather have his side next year because of Trout. I think Lincecum will bounce back somewhat, but Trout, oh my.
