Is it worth handcuffing Tyler Clippard and Drew Storen?

Postby rocks dojo » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:35 am

I only have 2 DL slots and have 3 players on the DL. Is it worth handcuffing both Tyler Clippard and Drew Storen? I'd like to drop someone to have room for 2-start pitchers. Ryan Cook is also available on the waivers. Please let me know what you think.

C - Napoli

1B - Adrian Gonzalez

2B - Ian Kinsler

3B - Beltre

SS - Hanley

OF - Justin Upton

OF - Adam Jones

OF - Corey HArt

Utility - Eric Hosmer

P - Clayton Kershaw

P - Cliff Lee

P - Daniel Hudson

P - Matt Garza

P - Jordan Zimmerman

P - Josh Beckett

P - Kenley Jansen

P - Tyler Clippard

Bench: Freddie Freeman, Josh Willingham, Wandy Rodriguez (may be traded to a better team), Kyle Lohse, Roy Oswalt, Chad Billingsley, Francisco Liriano (using as a two-start pitcher.. I'd like to keep him until lineups lock next week)

DL - Roy Halladay, Drew Storen

I personally don't value offensive bench players too much. Over the course of a week, those 4-6 ABs that they might get aren't going to make or break you. And your offense looks pretty solid anyway. I'd drop Freeman and pickup Cook to help until you get guys healthy.
