If its non keeper, then definetly trade hosmer. The trade is good but try to keep aza. Try trading quetin instead who will slow down soon(plus hes on the padres...no runs of rbis there)

Normally I would have said no to this deal. I think Hosmer is a great buy-low candidate who is in for a hudge 2nd half, I also like De Aza's speed and consistent average. Johnson is Johnson, I could take him or leave him, nothin special...obviously you feel the same way and are looking to upgrade. However, since you won't really have a place to play Hosmer (Votto and Fielder) if/when he heats up, and Johnson is very replaceable, I would probably take this deal. Provided Peds' thumb issue doesn't end up lingering and causing a dip in his offensive production, he will definitely provide your team with an everyday 2B that will boost your numbers. The loss of De Aza is the bonly problem here for you because I think you might need some OF power help in the 2nd half. Quentin is a bum and you'll ve left relying on Bourne, Willingham, and Upton every day. I think Willingham is also due for some regression. So in summary I'd take the deal and justkeep your eyes open for some OF help via FA or trade. Good luck

I would do it. I like Pedroia to turn it around and perform the way we have seen throughout his career. You're giving fair value in a keeper league, but you're not giving away too much.
