Deal Lowrie for Altuve as Pedroia Insurance?

Trade Jed Lowrie for Jose Altuve?
I have Pedroia and he has just been terrible since his thumb injury...I'm a little concerned.
Lowrie is my insurance on Lawrie (have Boni, but hurt for awhile), who is flat out boring.
Altuve would be a backup for me, but may be able to spell Hosmer at DH if needed.

Both Lowrie and Altuve can be kept in the 18th round next year (16th and then 14th after that).

Any thoughts? Best available FA at this time is Scutaro...

With Bonifacio a month away from returning ... I'd do it. I prefer Altuve anyway and the roster would make sense. Lowrie would be virtually useless at that point.
