The Mets just traded Cedeno for Chris Widger and Wilson Delgado. I am not sure, but I would be willing to bet the Mets will pick up a substantial amount of Cedeno's salary.

Nice pick up by the Cardinals. He'll be starting in left and leading off soon enough.

The whole Met organization is a lost cause. I'd of given up too playing for them.

Cedeno is nothing special. But the Cardials gave up NOTHING and aren't paying hardly any of his salary.

So it's risk free for the Cardinals -- and very hard to argue that they got snookered. What do the Mets needs another catcher for -- by the way with Phillips, Piazza, and Vance (isn't he on the Mets)?

Seems kind of silly.

It doesn't matter that he's a catcher, the Mets weren't looking to get anything for him. They gladly would have accepted a couple of dead bodies and $50 bucks.
