Belt breaking out? WHIR ALWAYS

This might sound like a crazy question to some people, but I've always been a big fan of Brandon Belt.

Anyways,

Who do you like more for the rest of the season?

Dayan Viciedo or Brandon Belt?


Belt has 1B and OF eligibility in my league.

I like Vicideo slightly more for this season, but I also think that these are exacty the kind of players you take a chance on. If you have a "gut feeling" about Belt, I say follow it.

I honestly like both players. I just slightly favor Belt right now because I drafted him and he can be kept in the 19th round and Viciedo can be kept in the 18th. So Belt has 1 round better keeper value.


BUT Viciedo plays in a MUCH better ballpark for hitters. So when I think about it unbiasedly, Viciedo would likely be the better offensive option to keep in the end.

I just wanted to see if all of y'all agree?

Here is my opinion: if just buy and hold and I want decent numbers, I'd take Viciedo. If I could drop Belt for another free agent if Bochy gets crazy again, I'll take Belt. 3 HR is 3 games. I was personally looking at him for Maybin (and I have Maybin ahead of Viciedo).

As stated by everyone who replied it is a tough call. My opinion is Viciedo. #1 I like his home field much better. #2 I trust his manager to play him more. I think Bochy is over not playing Belt and is going to give him regular time, but I have seen him do weird things in the past and do not trust him. Viciedo you have no doubt he will play.

I dont feel like you risking much by dropping Vicideo, given your keeper scenario. Especially if you have a hunch about Belt
