Thus far, out of of the 46 guys that have been picked, I have 8 on my big money keeper team. How about you?
1.01 Troy Tulowitzki, SS 1.03 Bryce Harper, OF 1.14 Adam Jones, OF 1.28 Jered Weaver, SP 1.30 Roy Halladay, SP 2.10 Chris Sale, SP 2.13 Ian Kinsler, 2B 2.16 Jason Kipnis, 2B
(I also had as my designated prospect and traded for better players to win now- Strasburg, Jay Bruce and Jason Heyward in past years)
In my NL-only keeper money league which has been my main league for the past 12 yrs. I have Stras and Stanton. I took both years ago in our minor league draft.
I only have Votto on my dynasty league but it's 24 tms and I'm contending every year. My success has been built on grabbing prospects before they become successful and trading them productive MLB'ers. Too many people are eager to trade anyone that is 30 yrs old for any flash in the pan prospect.
In my longtime 12-team deep-ish mixed keeper league (where I don't keep "kickers"), I am sitting on:
Trout Votto Hamels Jones Lawrie Miggy Moore Hosmer Kinsler
It's been a good run with Votto, Miggy and Kinsler for a quite a while - made a lot of trades to get younger as the Sizemores and Bays of the world crapped the bed. Now hoping most of the young-uns can continue to progress and pull their weight into the future.
and I drafted Sale, Kipnis, AJones, Aroldis, Harper, and Trout.
I won my league last year, and forfeited my first 4 picks this year in the process (trading for players to push me over the top last yr), but I had 12 picks in the next 4 rounds after that, and decided this might be a lost year, as all the top projected players were gone (my first pick was essentially no 120 overall) so I went with all future guys. AJones (120) Harper and Trout in the 6th rounds, the other guys later, and now my team is loaded and actually sitting in 2nd this year. Funny how things worked out, the best closer when I took one was Joe Nathan haha, and now I got Nathan, Chapman, Cook, Casilla, and Jannsen
