It seemed like there was a possible call-up a few weeks back, and he suddenly seemed to disappear off of the radar. Any idea of when he will be called up? This season? I have him stashed on my bench (re-draft league) thinking he would be called up in June. I can dump him and pick up Will Myers. Who do you think will be called up first?

I dumped him for Myers a few weeks ago. Arenado has not shown much power and has struggled a bit in AA. Jordan Pacheco has played fairly well. Maybe he gets a Sept call up, but at this point I would guess that we won't see him before next summer.

No way hes called up any time soon, hes hitting for average but little power and they would be foolish to rush him through the minors without giving him even a full season of AA ball. Myers has shown to be the better hitter anyways so that's who i would role with and im a dynasty owner of Arenado... he has no business being owned in redraft.

Thanks for the insight - I went ahead and made the swap - dumped Arenado and picked up Myers. The league I am in has 5 bench spots, and I always take a flyer on a minor league player. I was desperate earlier in the year for 3B, and thought there was a chance Arenado could be up soon. Thanks for talking some sense into me.

I know an owner in one keeper league who has held him up on the major league roster all year creating a dead roster spot still telling owners he is the next Pujols

I waited and waited for signs of life,dreaming of moving Joey Bats to the OF and snagging the super rookie for 3rd base.

That is precisely what I did. His almost total lack of power doesn't make me think he is close at this point to being an impact player in the majors. (Although, Harper's stats weren't special before his callup either).
