Hello, Would love some input on this offer I received. I was offered Tulo and Dickey for Kemp and Craig My OF (start 5 plus 1 util) is great through draft, pickups, and trades I have Braun, Cargo, Trout, Grandy, Hunter, Kemp, Craig, Quentin
I was able to get Kemp right after he first got injured for Beltran and Halladay so he hasn't actually played for me yet.
My current SS is Ian Desmond My starting pitchers are Sale, McDonald, Grienke, and Wainright
I think getting Dickey would be nice but do I give up that?
What would you do? Thanks Non Keeper, standard 10 team head to head points league
Tulo isn't exactly the definiton of health either, and I think Dickey is waaaaay overvauled at this point in the season. I wouldn't do that deal. Yes your OF is absolutely nasty, and Tulo (when he plays) would be a big upgrade at SS over Desmond...but this guy is trying to unload Dickey at a time when he will never be worth more than he is right now, he knows that and is simply trying to take advantage of your weakness at SP. Kemp will return and when he does you'll be glad that you have him in your lineup. Craig (when healthy) is also once of the best fantasy options at 2B imo, he also qualifies at OF and in some leagues 1B. I'd sit tight with what you have and try to improve your starting pitching via free agency. Your starters aren't horrible by any means...if anything I would deal Kemp or another stud OF for a legitimate stud SP, not a pretendr like Dickey.

I agree with the last guy, although I also agree with much of what was said from the others earlier. Dickey is not "that dude" in my opinion. He is handling his business right now, sure, but I am not so sure he is the man you want to bolster your line-up for the long haul. Not at the expense of the names you are putting out there. Tulo is a beast, and so is Kemp.
All in all, this trade does help your team so I wouldn't say it's a "bad" deal. As I mentioned above though, I think you could get a more proven pitcher for what you're offering, but maybe not. Craig is far from proven also, especially with his frequent DL stints. I am biased because I love Craig and am very skeptical of Dickey. Those are my biases, just so they're out there. I love Kemp also. So take that with a grain of salt.
I know I'm not giving you a definitive answer. I think that you don't go wrong either way if you make the decision you feel is right. It truly is one of those "toss-up" trades in my book, although I personally would hang tight.
I agree that it is a "toss-up" deal and you'll probably get as many people saying yes as you do saying no. You upgrade definately at SS and should probably not have a hard time moving him for a decent SP. I would try and work that deal and if you can find something I think it would well be worth it to pull the trigger. SS is alot thinner than OF and as stated you have a solid OF and could also probably handle moving 1 more along with Desmond for a top notch SP and a decent backup OF.
