Im in a Standerd 12 team H2H yahoo league currently in 10th C-McCan 1b- Butler 2b- Pedroia 3b- Beltre SS- yunel escobar Of- Braun Of- McCutchen OF- Maybin Util- Freeman Util- Altuve Bench- Rizzo, Moustakes
Got offered Jose reyes and austin jackson for McCutchen. I am probably going to reject because i feel like i really dont greatly improve anywhere with the trade. But wanted to get some opinions.
I am a big fan of McCutchen but I think I do this. Jackson is not that far off from what McCutchen is and then you get a huge upgrade at SS. I think this is a good move. It has some risk because no guarantee that Jackson continues what he has been doing prior to the injury but this could be a move that puts your team into championship caliber.

Very good trade for you, for the reasons MaudDib mentions above. That's a huge upgrade at SS.
Also, given that you are in 10th place, I'd be trying to add a couple of more SPs and get better results in the W and K categories. And with Freeman and Butler, you might not need to hold on to Rizzo at this point and swap him out for someone currently playing. (Unless it's a keeper).
Ya i no i need help at SP if u can believe it it was actually worst and pulled a trade for McCutchen, Price, and Lester. Im sitll hesitant, Reyes is good but he hasnt been performing to his normal level. This far into the season makes me hesitent because of what i lose trading McCutchen- anyone else?
I'm going to disagree with the posts above that are telling you to make the trade. I'd say that your squad needs pitching help more than anything right now and this trade obviously does nothing to address that issue. Now if we were talking about Reyes from his highly productive seasons with the Mets and a healthy Jackson not coming off of an injury then I'd be more inclined to make the deal, but we're not. At this point you'll be could be waiting for a few weeks, or the rest of the season, for Reyes and Jackson to round into form...and a rock solid OF option like Clutchy and a serviceable to improving Escobar are just more valuable right now. You're currently in 10th place and you just don't have the time to wait on something like that to happen. It was a no for me when it was Reyes/Jackson for just McCutchen, and now its a hell no for McCutchen and Escobar. I'm guessing that the guy who offered you this trade is near the top of the standings in your league, and with an All-Star OF like Clutchy he'll be putting more and more distance between his team and yours while you're left scrambling to try and close the gap. Tell him to go back to the drawing board bro if he wants your best player.
