Jennings and Shields for Lee?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:18 pm

8 team shallow league, non keeper league, 8x8 H2H( Runs, Hits, HR, RBI, SB, Walks, K's, Avg for hitters and Wins, Losses, CG, SHO, Saves, K's, ERA, WHIP for Pitchers), currently in 3rd place. Weekly changes type of league.

Been offered Desmond Jennings and James Shields for my Cliff Lee. What do you guys think?

He also said he would trade Carlos Santana and Shields for Lee too.

Anyone else you can get instead of Shields?

I don't think its necessarily a bad deal, I just REALLY don't like having pitchers in the AL East if it can be avoided. But it won't hurt you to do it.

Help with mine?

How about forgetting the pitcher and trading Lee for Santana and Jennings?

i really like your last proposal - Santana and jennings for Lee. Something seems off for Lee this season, so getting two quality young players for him would be awesome. I always lean toward the hitting in any trade.

I don't think I would do it. How do you plug in Jennings, if you had a rue weak spot in your lineup i would say do it, but you really don't. Don't make his team better when yours really won't get better.

could use your help

I can put Jennings in for Willingham and Santana in for Choo. You don't think that helps my team?

choo is a good player and would probably score more points at dh than santana. lee is a top pitcher, his era is great as is his k rate. his wins will come. shields is a good pitcher too but not as good as cliffy. im taking he wouldn't trade felix hernanadez and santana for lee and jp, if he's a big lee fan he might take it, maybe. thanks for replying to my question too!

I honestly think I'd do it. Although I like Lee, I like Shields a ton as well. I think the X Factor here is Jennings. He could be an elite outfielder come year's end
