Trading for Matt Kemp WHIR

Postby bobnerns » Sun Jun 10, 2012 8:55 pm

10-team 5x5 H2H redraft league. I have a decent team, not great but in 2nd place right now. I think I have a pretty good shot at making the playoffs. Because the league is so shallow, there are plenty of good pitchers on waivers, not so much with hitters. I'm looking to make a 3-for-1 trade, but I wanted to get some input on a trade idea. I'm in talks with Matt Kemp's owner and he is in desperate need of starting pitchers. Here's the following trade I'm thinking about proposing:

I get
Matt Kemp

I give
Shin-Soo Choo
Jake Peavy
Johan Santana

I have 10 solid starters and there are a good 3-4 more worth owning on waivers.

Am I giving up too much, not enough, just about right?

Some other starters I own and would be willing to trade are Ricky Romero, Jon Lester, Mat Latos, Wandy Rodriquez and James McDonald.

Leave your link.

If you can Kemp for that offer take it and run...

10 team league should e able to pitch and ditch throughout the rest of the season. Probably some great options on the waiver wire right now too.

I think if he'll take it, you'll be good. Don't love Choo, and I have both Peavy and Santana and am trying to shop both of them.

If he doesn't take it, I'd try sending Romero instead of Peavy. I don't like pitchers in that division anyway.

Thanks for the help on mine!

Great trade for you if you can get it done. Peavy and Santana are both injury risks and will likely have a DL stint or two. Choo is ok but nothing great. Great trade if he takes it.

I agree, if he'll take that offer then it's great for you.
