Trade Hanley and Longo for Tulo and Kemp WHIR

Postby wyld stallions » Sat Jun 09, 2012 8:14 pm

Ok, I am in 9th and my offense is solid so I do not need to make a move there. But getting a better keeper is always a plus. I was going to offer one of:
Hanley and Longo for Kemp and Tulo or
Hanley for Tulo or
Longo for Tulo

What do you think?

12 team, h2h, 3 man keeper

We start all 9 positions plus one util. We have to pitch 39 innings per week

Scoring:
H, 2, 3, hr, R, RBi, BB, Ave. OBP, SB, SO, Fielding %
W, L, CG, SHO, SO, BB, ERA, WHIP, SV, BSV, Holds

My team:
C: Jesus Montero
1st: Votto, LaRoche
2nd: Kipnis,
3rd: Longoria (DL), A Ramirez
SS: Hanley,
Util:
OF: Braun, Bourn, Craig (1,2,of), Quinten
SP: Bumgardner, Moore, Latos, E Santana, Lynn, Dempster, Scherzer, Norris, Hudson, Burnett
RP: Frieri, Downs, Reed

I would do it. The buy low on both Kemp and Tulo will pay off big time in the 2nd half. Dont forget that Kemp and Tulo are both top 5-7 guys in thr long run. Longo can never seem to put together a full, healthy season of top production. I see it as 2 upgrades for you.

Sure- if you can make the deal. But why would the Kemp/Tulo owner make that trade?

Who would be your 3b for the future? But you'd have to do this deal if you can get it done. I'd see if you can deal Longo for Tulo or Kemp so Han Ram can be your 3b.

With you're scoring, I would do the deal with all 4. Tulo is in a tier by himself at SS. You'll lose 3B, but I think it's deeper than most realize so you can pick up a 3B next year. Kemp will keep you competitive in doubles and triples and ave and even an upgrade at SB possibly over Hanley who isn't running as much as years past.
Help with mine please?

He responded with Hanley, Longo and Bumgardner for Kemp and Tulo. I think this one is tough. I really want Kemp and Tulo so I am not sure what to do.

Do I accept or counter with Hanley, Longo and Bum for Kemp, Tulo and Lester/Darvish? Or is adding Bum in, too much. Should I offer a different SP?

I'd counter by asking him for a pitcher in return. I don't see him giving up Darvish, but if you throw in Bum plus Dempster, you might (big MIGHT) get Lester out of him, since Lester has struggled this year. Worth a shot in my opinion. Thanks for your response on mine.

I offered him Hanley, Longo, Bum and Quinten for Tulo, Kemp, and Lester or Hanley, Longo, Bum, quinten and Dempster for Tulo, Kemp, Lester and Darvish.

We will see if any on of these fly.
