Looking to trade SLG for OBP WHIR

Postby baegames » Sat Jun 09, 2012 5:06 pm

I play in a league where Avg does not count, but we have SLG and OBP. It is AL Only.

I was thinking of making the following offer as I have excess SLG but need to move up in OBP.

Erick Aybar and Justin Morneau
FOR
Denard Span and Asdrubal Cabrera

Edit: I think I am going to take the advice here. If he rejects, how about Aybar, Morneau, Fernando Rodney for Span, Cabrera, Brandon League?

2 questions: Is it a good deal? Will my trading partner be insulted by the offer?

I think it's a pretty good deal for you, But I don't know if he'll take it. Morneau sucks at home and Aybar just sucks. That said, I've never played in an AL only league, so I'm sure they have more value there. I can't see him objecting to giving up span, but Cabrera is pretty solid even in shallow mixed leagues. I doubt he takes it, but I can't see him being too offended. I'm not one to worry about offending other owners anyway. Make the offer and see what happens. Good luck!

Help with mine?

Thanks for the help on mine.

I dont think the trade is insulting but I think you need to offer a little more than Aybar and Morneau for Span and A. Cabrera. I see Span and Morneau have similar values while A. Cabrera is much much better then Aybar. Aybar was dropped a month ago in my 12 team league and no one has even touched him. I think you should offer the trade but I wouldnt be surprised if he rejected it. I think that if you want to include Aybar for Cabrera in the trade your going to have to offer someone significantly better than Span in the trade as well.

Clarkdp2 was being kind. This trade offer is a no-brainer, and should be vetoed if it goes through. This is the top 1% crap that America is tired of.

lol!

In all seriousness, this is how championships are made. GO GET 'EM!!!
