J. Bautista for D. Pedroia WHIR

I recently traded my B. Zobrist for R. Zimmerman. Now I am looking to trade one of my 3 3B for a better 2B. I have put J. Bautista, D. Wright, and R. Zimmerman all on the trade block and have just been offered. J. Bautista for D. Pedroia. Obviously I'm not going to accept that but what would be a good counter to that trade offer?

I would like to upgrade my SP possibly Bautista/Latos for Pedroia/Price - is that a fair trade for me? What would be a good trade to make for Pedroia?

I've never played in a points league, but at a glance, I like Bautista and Latos for Pedroia and price. I think that's a fair deal and accomplishes what you're looking to do. If he won't do that, maybe offer him Zimmerman for Pedroia. Sell it as a trade of frustrating, injury plagued infielders.

As a Pedroia owner and living in Boston, I would say the following about Pedey. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE.

I have a feeling this wrist injury with Pedey will lead to him being on the DL at some point (he is 1 -for- 17 since returning from the week layoff). If you have him, you have to start him, but I am in the process of trying to trade him, to be quite honest.

I would do it. Price is a significant upgrade at SP and you're getting one of the best 2b in the game.

That's if you're not worried about Pedroia's thumb, though. I'm not terribly worried about it.
