Offer is yovani gallardo for my Brandon Phillips.

Possible counter: Infante/Capps for Gallardo?

Update: Well before he took Infante/Capps for Gallardo (which he wanted to do), someone offered me Tommy Hanson for Capps straight up, which I took.

However, he was interested in it, so should I shoot for another 2 for 1 with Infante, possibly with Casilla? Or should I ditch this trade now since I got Hanson? Or is there someone else that would be good to pair with Infante? Any help?

Also, FA options at 2B are Aaron Hill, Rickie Weeks, and Danny Espinosa in addition to my Infante

I would do it. I really like gallardo and he can completely turn it around hes a true #1 SP and that would really help out your rotation

I would say no at first as I value Phillips a lot and he will get cracking it more soon, but with the help your rotation needs I would be tempted to go for it, but I think you could get a better pitcher for one of the better 2b in the league...

Gallardo is overrated, IMO. Although his numbers by year's end are usually pretty good, he goes through periods of complete crap.. like so far this year. He's not consistent.

You could probably get a better return on Phillips. 2B is a prime position.

I think it's a fair trade. Possibly try and get CC Sabathia first, but if you can't I would be happy with Yovani.

I guess its fair but I dont think you need to do it. I'd be more conscious of 2B scarcity

Its a fair deal....but I wouldnt do it. You lose @ 2B, Infante will slow down.
