Anibal Sanchez for Alex Rios

Postby DLee » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:22 pm

I'm a fantasy baseball newbie as this is only my second year in my league. I'm currently in the middle of the pack of a 12 man league, but I'm really light offensively - especially in the outfield. My current OF includes: Reddick, Maybin, Schaefer, Soriano, and Span. My current SP includes: Felix Hernandez, Wandy Rodriguez, Anibal Sanchez, Barry Zito, Joe Saunders, Lance Lynn, Mat Latos, and Jeff Samardzija.

I have a chance to trade Anibal for Alex Rios. On paper this seems pretty fair, and could really hope boost my outfield... any thoughts?

That would be a definite no.

I picked up Rios off the wire like 5 days ago in a 12 team money league... if I got Sanchez for him it would be robbery.

Please dont sell yourself short for a middle of the road OF just because you need some help there. Put Sanchez on the trade block and see what the offers look like. if they arent great, keep him. his ratios are decent and the K's are awesome. wins? ehhh... I'd aim higher like A. Gordon, Victorino or BJ Upton.

your thoughts on mine?

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

No way. I'd want way more for Sanchez. He flies under the radar, but look at some of his numbers for the past couple years. He's right up there.

Yeah that's a terrible offer. Anibal is a must-start except against Atlanta ha ha.
