Bye Bye Rickie Weeks.....Drop This Loser... Who to Grab?

Postby etl1692 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 4:16 pm

So I feel like I have waited forever on Rickie Weeks, and I'm honestly about fed up! I have Aviles in his spot which I like, but kinda like Aviles's versatility better than keeping him snug in at 2B. Anyways here are my options........ (My hitting is pretty solid and I usually like to only have about 1 batter on my bench and stack the pitching.

FA's: Jarrod Parker (SP) ; Kyle Kendrick (SP) ; Joe Blanton (SP) ; Scott Diamond (SP) ; Ross Detwiler (SP) ; Kevin Milwood (SP) ; Brian Matsuz (SP) ;
Danny Espinosa (2B) ; Gordon Beckham (2B) ; Robert Adino (2B,SS,3B) ; Marco Scutaro (2B,SS) ; Sean Rodriguez (2B,3B,SS) ;

Note: None of the 2B players listed above would start over Aviles, or any of my UTIL players IMO..... So stick with the pitching aspect? It will open up a "streaming" spot for me. Is it really worth it? Another thing is my league has seemed to swallow up even all the sh_tty pitchers, so streaming won't be as often, and as effective.

Grab Kendrick.. He rebounded in May and should continue to be a 3 ERA pitcher.. and if the phillies ever figure their offense out he will get some wins.

I like Matusz over Kendrick. As a rule, I really like streaming works so well and you can always find good SP options daily. If anything pick up a guy (batter or pitcher) you can trade for a need some quality IP to keep the ERA, WHIP, and SV looking good!

I drafted Weeks too and I feel your pain. I really REALLY need him to wake up now too as I traded away Pedroia yesterday and have only Everth Cabrera behind Weeks at 2B. That said, there is no way any of those FA would've convinced to cut Weeks. Crappy as he's been he's still a better bet than the 2B you list. Oh how I wish Beckham, Scutaro, or Sean Rod were available to me to cut Everth for. Honestly, now that you cut Weeks I'd roll with Beckham. He's likely to outproduce Aviles from here on out.

Cmon Bud, NOW is the time to sack up and force feed an Olympic style drug program down Fehr's fat throat. Save OUR game from these blatant cheaters!
