Kershaw for Fielder??

Postby Bigdtown » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:25 am

Hey guys,

Im in a Keeper league and I have been offered Prince Fielder for Kershaw. I do still have plenty of really good pitching...and I also have Trumbo, Freeman, and Joe Mauer and even Edwin Encarnarcion who can man 1st for me.

I really like Feilder though and I believe that once hes used to the A.L., he is gonna put up Monster numbers not only this year...but the next few years at least.

Just wanted some thoughts or Opinions on whether you guys think its worht even considering.

Thx

That is a faor exchange, and I would rather have the bat than the arm in a keeper. Do it.

I would rather have Kershaw. He could be the best at his position in all of baseball while Fielder is not. Kershaw in a keeper league is much more valuable, he is younger, and at this point in his career has a higher ceiling than Fielder. Plus, Fielder just just got his big contract, he is much older, and I am not sure if he will physically be able to play at a high level for an extended period of time. For me it's a no-brainer, keep Kershaw. I hope this helps.

Help with mine?

Really would need to see your lineup because it depends on how much those other batters are needed in the other spots they can play, as well as how deep you SP is. All that aside if it was me i would probably prefer Kershaw because you do have so much depth at 1b

1b Smoak
2b Altuve
