My Hosmer/McCarthy for His Crawford/Liriano

Postby Roberto Clemente » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:36 am

Play in a Keeper League. C.Crawford is out until after the All Star break. Hosmer is off right now. Hosmer is much younger.Should I gamble on Crawford?

I talked to Matthew Berry about this trade offer and he thinks that even though short-term you would be losing out, for the long-term, you would be winning out. He commented and ended by saying lets just hope that Liriano can keep up his production from last start.

I wouldn't touch that deal. Liriano is garbage and Crawford, while still productive, isn't near good enough for Hosmer. Brandon McCarthy is an up-and-coming pitcher who will be an Ace very soon.
