What trades to pursue with H2H Depth (WHIR)

Postby BluffingJ » Sat Jun 02, 2012 4:15 pm

I am 7 deep in OF and 3 deep in 2B in my 10 team H2H league (4 OF,1 UTIL,0 MI).So i have a bit of depth to work with there.Almost all my pieces are tradeable moreso than droppable.I have a lot of trade options what is the best route to take?

C - Weiters
1B - Teixeira
2B - Kipnis
SS - Hanley
3B - Moustakas
OF - Granderson/Heyward/De Aza/Pagan
UTIL - Harper
BN - Altuve/Craig/Tulo
DL - Jennings

SP - Greinke/Bumgarner
RP - Casilla/Frieri
P - Gallardo/Garcia/Morrow/Soriano
------------------------------------
Looking purely at a trade defined by having players with health ?'s that i have a surplus in

Pedroia owner:
OF - Jones,Trout,Hamilton,Quentin
SP - Doubront,Dickey,Strausburg,Vogelsong,Sale,Zito,Samardzija,Norris

Kemp/Longoria/Halladay/Mccarthy owner:
OF - Melky,BJ Upton,C.Young,Reddick
SP - Sabathia/Zimmerman/Lohse/Shields/Bedard

Sandoval/Jackson/Weaver owner:
OF - Hart,Cargo,Swisher,Fowler
SP - Gio,Price,Wilson

Ross owner:
OF - Beltran,Braun,Victorino,Holliday
SP - Kershaw,Marcum,McDonald,Lewis

Marakis/Chipper owner

OF - Trout,Ichiro,Morrison,Choo
SP - Verlander,Beckett,Lee,Buerhle,Jimmenez,Scherzer,Lester

Ellsbury Owner

OF - Morales,Bautista,Stanton,Cruz
SP - King Felix,Cain,Wainwright,Hanson,Latos,Hellickson,Hudson

If you want an honest assessment, you are not 7 deep in OF in a ten team league that starts 4 OF (and a UT) - in such a league, Pagan, Harper, and De Aza are all replacement level.

That being said, I do like your 2b situation. Does Allen Craig qualify at 2b? If so, look into moving Altuve who has value, but not a huge amount.

I agree with this. I would try and package Altuve and De Aza for a SP. If this is a non-keeper league, maybe even try to sell high on Harper and package him with Altuve for a better SP.

It isn't a keeper league.

With Lincecum struggling, and Halladay and Weaver on DL are any of Price,Sabathia,Gio,Wilson,Verlander,Kershaw worth a 2 for 1?

With Heyward struggling, Craig not seeing everyday ab, don't I need another bat as well?

Taking that into consideration, I would just see if you could trade Harper for a SP straight up. You def won't be able to get any of those aces though.

The problem is the 2 for 1 I need to do for either the upper tier bat or the upper tier SP, require a lot of the same pieces.Doing one hurts my ability to do the other.
