Posey for Bourn & Montero??

Postby Jase44 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:41 am

Hey guys,

Keeper (10) 10 team league - R,2B,RBI,HR,SB,AVG,BB,OPS

Thinking of offering my Bourn & J.Montero for his Posey.

We have 4 OF spots and I have Stanton, Bourn, Heyward, Trout, Joyce, Markakis (DL), Francouer, Quentin. With Trout playing as well as he is I find myself playing him more than Bourn and power heavy guys are more valuable in our format so Bourn does find the pine a bit on my squad.

I am currently in 1st place but feel like the Montero to Posey upgrade will help.

Thoughts?

I know he's not setting the world on fire right now, but in a keeper league I'm not sure Montero is really that much far behind Posey. Long-term, Montero's plus power is just too valuable to pass up from the C spot.

While I like upgrading from Montero to Posey, Michael Bourn is way way way too much to give up for that upgrade. Try one of the OF off your bench and I'd consider making the offer. In fact, give the other owner the list of your OF from #5-#7 and tell them to choose.

I agree. Bourn is way too valuable and is way too much to pay for the value in upgrade that you would receive in return. I like the idea of letting him choose one of your lesser OFs.

Really bad deal for you. Bourn is more valuable than Posey straight up let alone adding a second player to the deal. Also not sure what you gain out of doing this deal, the difference between the two isn't Bourn. I sure you could deal Bourn for an upgrade that would be more beneficial to your team.
