Just got offered Cliff Lee for my Bryce Haper in my 12-team (non-keeper) H2H league (dude is HURTING at OF and stacked at SP). My initial thought was to jump for joy and hit accept as this is probably the ultimate "sell-high" on Harper, right?
I know Lee hasn't been all that great this year, but I gotta make this, right?
Lee has been great this year. The wins will come, and I don't think the fact that he has 0 is a reflection on his going deep into games or limiting runs, it's just a fluke. I'd accept the offer in a heart beat.
Harper's pro-rated numbers aren't all that impressive over a full season. .275 with 20 HR, 10 SB, and 160 R+RBI is decent, but Nick Markakis has been doing that for years. Obviously Harper has more of a chance to break out and put up a huge season than Markakis but in my opinion, Cliff Lee is the most valuable fantasy pitcher not named Verlander and if all it costs in a re-draft league is a hot prospect then I'd be rushing to push accept before the offer is pulled off the table.

thats pretty much exactly what I was thinking myself; just need some reassurance from time to time when things look too good to be true
