Big Deal Involving Miggy, CarGo, Cutch, Hosmer!(WHIR)

Mixed 16 team auction league with 310 dollar cap, H2H points league with pitchers waited a little heavier than bats, can keep as many players per year as you want. Price of the player goes up 5 dollars each year kept. I am currently 3-5 on the year and am not sure if I want to build for the future or go for broke. I have the following offer on the table, dollar prices in parentheses:

My Miggy(55), McCutchen(34), Hosmer(2), Liriano(14), Luis Perez(1) for Todd Frazier(1), CarGo(43), Butler(22), Lincecum(40)

I am kind of weary about trading Hosmer at that price in a keeper and Miggy for this year but I won't keep Miggy next year at the ungodly price of 60 dollars! Any opinions?

I don't think I'd do this deal.
You may be losing in both the short and long term as I think I'd rather have McCutchen at 39 than Cargo at 48...close though. I think the Hosmer angle part puts it over for me.

If you are trying to make a run, I'd try to get players I can still move at the deadline in case you decide to rebuild. The way Lincecum is pitching that may not be an option.

Of course I say all this not knowing the full dynamics of your league.

Yeah losing Hosmer at that price is definitely the worst part of the deal, but for me I take the trade cause I like CarGo at 48 more than Miggy at 60. I'd be hoping Lincecum really turns it around this year and trade him away for something else later on. Just my initial thought, but I like the trade.

You do not make a deal trading both Miggy and Hosmer. Decide if you are going for it this year or building for the future.
If future, deal Miggy for all you can.
If this year, deal Hosmer.
If you are 3-5, I'd probably be more likely to wait a week or two, and then probably deal Miggy.

McCutchen and Hosmer at those prices are what would prevent me from doing the deal... I don't see you keeping CarGo or Lincecum at those dollar amounts.

miggy best player by far. mccutchen is tearing it up and hosmer is about to get on fire. no way i do this trade

I look at Miggy and CarGo and equal levels of production, actually an edge to CarGo ROY. So having him for less is nice. The problem I see is Lincecum for 40. I would probably hold if you're trying to win this year.

I wouldn't do this deal as Hosmer will turn it around and be great value. I don't like Cargo over Cutch enough to justify it. Pass on this for now. Thanks for your help on mine.
