GoT Em! It is in Fellas..... Ideas? Iput? Help?

Postby etl1692 » Wed May 30, 2012 11:43 pm

I made the trade to what seems to solidify my team for this year and the years following (hopefully).

Trade 1: I acquired Evan Longoria, Nick Swisher, and 2nd Rounder
I gave: BJ Upton and A-Rod, and my 3rd Rounder
Trade 2: I acquired Justin Upton and Mat LAtos
I gave: Lincecum and Bryce Harper

Also: I "nursed" (if you will) Kevin Youkilis, Andy Pettitte and Desmond Jennings by picking them off WW while on DL and SOlidifying them a spot when they returned.

To me Those are some SERIOUS upgrades..... What u all think?

This is what I have going for me:

*Indicates Keeper
Batting:
C: A.J. Pierzynski
1B: Joey Votto *
2B: Rickie Weeks
3B: Kevin Youkilis
SS: Asdrubal Cabrera
OF: Matt Kemp* ; Desmond Jennings ; Justin Upton*
Util: Mike Aviles (3B,2B,SS)
Util: Alejandro De Aza
BN: Nick Swisher
DL: Evan Longoria

Pitching:
P: C.C. Sabathia*; P: Mat Latos ; P: Josh Beckett ; P: Ryan Dempster ; P: Shaun Marcum ; P: Max Scherzer ; P: Jonathon Niese ; P: Drew Smyly ; P: Andy Pettitte ; RP: Fernando Rodney ; RP: Chris Sale(SP)

League: 12 teams, H2H, Points System
Batting: R=1 H=1 2B=2 3B=3 HR=4 RBI=2 SB=2 CS=-1 BB=1 IBB=1 HBP=1 K=-1 GIDP=-1 TB=1
Pitching: IP=1 W=10 L=-5 CG=10 SHO=10 SV=5 ER=-1 BB=-1 HBP=-1 K=-1 WP=-1 BLK=-1 Pick=2 NH=20 PG=25

So next year we will have 5 keepers. 2 Battters, 2 Pitchers and One Wild Card (anyone I want)

Here is my Dilemma Keepers wise... Batters: Kemp, Votto, Pitchers: C.C. and (?Becket or Latos?) Wild Card: Longoria or Justin Upton

1.) Do I trade Longo or Upton for a Stud Pitcher LATER? I feel like C.C. needs a solid Keeper "friend" to stay with em and LAtos and Beckett dont cut it.... Or I can just load up twice in the 2nd round next year and go back to back pitchers.
2.) With my current roster does Swish Daddy start? and over who?

Very happy with my recent moves........

Yes I think your team improved a fair amount - maybe not massively.

I would attempt to trade Longo for a stud pitcher if possible. If you cant him for a SP I would try and trade him for a high draft pick to help you focus on SP in the draft next year.

I think Longo is just to big an injury risk at this point and Upton >>>> over longo this year and going forward.

Nice trades. Hang onto Longo for your value.
