Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia had to go back to St. Louis on Tuesday as he was dealing with elbow discomfort, reports FOXSportsMidwest.com Wednesday. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said that his MRI checked out fine, but Garcia will miss his next scheduled start on Friday in New York. The team has not said who will get that start or when Garcia might next take the mound.



Didn't he already have Tommy John surgery a few years ago?

Yeah...Garcia underwent Tommy John surgery following the 2008 season, causing him to miss most of the 2009 season.
