Which Hamilton Trade?

Postby lotsofluck » Wed May 30, 2012 7:02 pm

Please help me.
I have been offered 3 trades for my Josh Hamilton. I am currently in 1st place. The first two trades come from the guy in 3rd place and the third comes for the guy in 6th.
1. I get Lance Lynn and Paul Konerko for Hamilton
2. I get Justin Upton, Roy Halladay and Ross Detwiler for Hamilton and Wilin Roasario (this guy is in 3rd place without having a catcher all year!!!!)
3. I get Adrian Gonzalez, Asdrubal Cabrera and Johan Santana for Hamilton, Michael Young and Allen Craig
14 team H2H league

Hitting: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, OBP
Pitching: IP, W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP
My team:
C- Matt Wieters
1B- Carlos Pena
2B- Michael Young
3B- David Wright
SS- Ian Desmond
IF- Will Middlebrooks
OF- Josh Hamilton
OF- Ryan Braun
OF- Michael Bourn
OF- Drew Stubbs
Util- Kirk Nieuwenhuis
Util- Wilin Rosario
BN- Peter Bourjos
BN- Darwin Barney
BN- Gregor Blanco
BN- Carlos Santana (no more DL spots so the Halladay deal may be sort of a problem)
DL- Emilio Bonafacio
DL- Allen Craig
SP- C.C. Sabathia
SP- Joe Saunders
SP- Derek Holland
SP- Ivan Nova
RP- Matt Moore
RP- Jeff Samardzjia
P- Colby Lewis
P- Wei-Yin Chen
BN- Scott Diamond
DL- Neftali Feliz

Should I accept one of these deals, ask for more or just hold on to Hamilton.

Thanks in advance.

You should absolutely take that 2nd trade. Neither have performed to their potential this year and I have no doubt that either of them will rebound and be studs (once Halladay comes back, of course).

Take that and just hop, skip, and jump away. And that's coming from a Hamilton owner who is a believer.

I wouldn't make any of those deals. You are giving away the best player in the deal across the board. Halladay's injury makes #2 a no go, tho that was the closest to fair.

Help with this Pujols for Hanley deal?

I would not do any of them. If Halladay was healthy then I would do the 2nd one. Your lineup must be working for you, but I would try to trade away a hitter for some better SP. You have some nice hitting trade pieces.

Agree with the two posts above me. Prior to the Halladay injury I'd be close on that second deal, but Hamilton is still much better than Upton by a long shot.

I got a deal offer of Cole hamels and Justin Upton for Hamilton straight up which is similar to your package and I refused.

Id prob do that hamels upton trade, but in your case how else could you work in Konerko, he would help you the most, Konerko and a pitcher(stud) for hamilton??

Push the limits if he doesnt budge then hold, what do you care you are in first cause you have braun and hamilton!!!

I agree that none of these trades are good because of the Halladay injury. Maybe ask for Upton, Konerko and Lance Lynn for Hamilton, Rosario and Young. Otherwise I think based on these offers I'd hold on to hamilton and keep reaping the benefits of his monster hitting.
