Pending Trades

Pretty simple question. My league has a 3-day waiting period for pending trades. To maintain fairness and whatnot, is it always necessary that the trades stay pending for that long? Or is it acceptable that the commissioner sees and approve it and sends it through immediately?

You approve some trades on the day the trade happens and those owners start getting stats on their new players immediately while other owners have to wait the three days before they start getting stats on their new players. == What do you think?

Agreed, if you have a waiting period, you need to use it consistently.

(I assume you're in a league with daily moves, otherwise it' s not much of an issue)

Let all trades go though instantly without Commish check. I've done this for yrs for 2 leagues and never had a problem.

If an owner colludes with another, or is malicious trying to damage the integrity of the league, the commish can retroactively un-do the trade. To me, that's the only times that a commish might want to stop a deal.

One league I am in has a 24 hour waiting period folks have asked to have a trade processed through quicker (usually slightly quicker) the commish has a long standing rule on that - he has no problem with it as long as every other owner whos not in the deal agrees to it
