Do I accept this last offer? WHIR

Postby clarkw267 » Fri May 25, 2012 2:11 pm

Alright so me and this other guy have been going back and forth on a deal involving Billy Butler and Brandon Phillips.

Here is the final offer:

I send : Billy Butler, Alcides Escobar (who i just picked up to replace his Bonafacio), and Santiago Casiila.
I receive: Brandon Phillips, Huston Street

This trade opens up a roster spot to grab a guy like Rizzo, Francouer, or Pettitte. And it also allows me to get Will Middlebrooks into my lineup.

Essentially who would you rather start Butler and Escobar, or Phillips and Middlebrooks?

Leave a link and I'll help you.

12 Team H2H (5x5). NON-Keeper

C- Santana
1B - A Gonz
2B - Ackley
3B - Wright

CI - Lawrie
OF - J Upton
OF - Pence
OF - Trout
OF - Dirks
UT - Butler
BN - Jennings (DL)
BN - Middlebrooks
BN - J Montero

P - Cain
P - Peavy
P - Wainwright
P - Beachy
P - Josh Johnson
P - League

I would rather have Butler. I think 30 HR is within his reach this season.

Why do you have Escobar? Can you not drop him for Middlebrooks? Who do you have at 2B right now?

Middlebrooks is on my bench. He's blocked by Wright (3B), Lawrie (CI), and Butler (UT).

butler is way better then BP right now and street may have a hard time getting his job back the way thayer has been.

i see what your trying to do and get middlebrooks in your lineup, if you can trade montero and lawrie(non keeper league because) for just a top OF gives you a chance to put middlebrooks and take dirks out of your lineup.

pick up pettitte he would be either the 2-3 best pitcher on your team.

I'd pass. I prefer Butler to BP straight up. You would also be losing a closer here for at least the time(s) Street is injured this season.
