Sabathia and Stubbs for J-Up? (WHIR)

Postby Southie777 » Thu May 24, 2012 4:39 pm

10-team mixed, 5X5 roto... I know it helps if you have my whole roster, but I am short on time... Let's just say that I am comfortable with my pitching and need some help in the HR/RBI dept., in my opinion... I also have an unhealthy love for both Upton brothers... This is well-known in my league... What do you think, do I pull the trigger on this one? Just got offered it... I am getting J-Up... Leaning towards yes... Thanks! (WHIR)

I'd make this deal in a second. J-Up is heating up, you're getting a borderline 1st round guy for a bargain.

Help please

Pull the trigger. I like this deal for you. I'm a big J.Upton fan as well and I think he's worth it.

Yeah I'd definitely do this for sure especially if your pitching staff can take the huge hit heh.
Curiously what is your roster?

What am I missing here?
J. Upton for Stubbs in a head to head trade?
Yeah, probably!
But....while Upton is heating up, so is Stubbs! Stubbs seems to be much more comfortable in the no 2 slot and has 3 homers in the last 4 games. Upton has one. Their stats are almost identical. BA around .250...Upton has 5 homers, Stubbs has 6...Upton has 8 stolen bases, Stubbs has 9.
Not to mention, you'd be giving up one of the premier pitchers in baseball.
Upton is a sexy pick right now, "sexy" doesn't win league titles.
I wouldn't make this trade....but that's just me.

I'm not quite as gung-ho as some others, but I would still certainly take the deal. Stubbs is a poser and while CC is excellent, J-Up is worth the price.
