Zimm and Price and I don't have to think twice. But I do have to rhyme.

The different between Price and Scherzer is vastly larger than that between Longo and Zimm.

I deifnitely take the Zimm/Price side of this deal.

As an abused owner of Scherezer for several years now, I can say that he will drive you nuts. Plus, Longo is hurt now, whereas Zimm is currently not.

Thanks guys for the feedback. At this point it's looking like is going to be this deal here;

Zimm and Price

4

Longo and Morales

I'm covered at 1B w/ Pujols and Util w/ Butler. But I was thinking I can flip Morales and Beltran for a legit 2B or C.

Thoughts?

WHIR when a link is left behind ;-D !

Very, very tough call. I'm going to go with Longoria and Scherzer, as I always have found it easier to find solid SP more than a big bat. Zimmerman is always on the cusp of big things, but never seems to get there.

I'd take the Zimermann side, regardless of whether Scherzer or Morales is the extra part of the deal.

If it's Longoria and Morales, I'd jump on this deal. ZImmerman and Price is a great return for those two.

To me, bats are of greater value than arms. So, IMO, Longoria is the greater player here. I would stick with Longo and Scherzer.

Thanks for the help on mine!

Thanks to all for their opinions to my thread!! I went ahead and did the deal (I received Longoria and Morales).

As for the Scherzer aspect; I shopped around Morales prior to accepting the trade and asked everyone in the league to make me their best offer (SP only) for Morales. Scherzer was the best option.

Now, I'm going to shop Morales and Beltran combo to either improve C, 2B or mega OF upgrade. I currently am starting Rosario/Yan Gomes in my C spot, Hill/Giavotella in 2B spot and Bautista slides to third for now and Heyward, Stubbs and Beltran complete my OF. And if I get OF back, I will shop OF player for 2B or C.

I'm currently working out the details for Weiters. I offered up Morales and Beltran and the owner said he'd do it if he was primed for a run. I'm going to see if I can work something out with him b/c he has Weiters and Carlos Santana. Then I can get DL'd Utley for REAL cheap (Travis Snider straight up), but I need to solidify my C spot first. ;-D

Whoa whoa whoa, that's TOO much for Wieters. If your giving up Morales AND Beltran? Seriously you need to get both upgrades at 2b and catcher.

See if you can shoot for an Uggla and maybe Lucroy type of package that will kinda balance your team out.

Yeah, it definitely seems like I'm giving up a lot, but with Beltran being 35 (even though he is having a MVP year) and with Morales only being DH eligible after this year which he can only slide in our Util spot, it's a tough sell in our 16 team format. I'd pay top dollar for who I think is the best dynasty catcher. But I do agree with your comment about find a package deal elsewhere.

Oh, for the record I was shot down on Beltran and Morales for Posey and James McDonald. The owner said it was an insult offer.

Beltran is running a rake shop right now, so I'll just keep some offers out there on a daily basis so they can pay attention to his stat lines. Dude is straight up raking this year. But, I'd be an idiot to think it continues for much longer just do to his high HR/FB rate, currently 30.4%, and his track record is around 16%. So HR's will drop, but he'll continue to hit for a great AVG tho. Definitely a MVP candidate if he remains healthy.
