Beltre Reyes or Verlander? WHIR

Postby rich16979 » Tue May 22, 2012 2:22 am

Yahoo 12 team standard 5x5 rotisserie league; I was offered Verlander for Beltre and Reyes for Beltre. Which deal would you do? My biggest deficiences are SB, Avg, and WHIP right now, but I am concerned that my staff lacks a true ace. What do you think?

It looks like your biggest need might be Reyes, but I think Verlander is the much better overall player.

Id take Verlander and then worry about sb's after.

I would take Verlander for Beltre in a flash. It's simple too much value to pass up. Reyes is just a speedball, he doesn't offer across the board numbers like Verlander does in pitching.

Verlander for sure, he is a rock in any rotation and is guaranteed to be a great pitcher for the whole year. Take that in a second.

You have to take Verlander. You can worry about the other categories later, but Verlander is a stud, if not the best pitcher in baseball right now. Jump on it.
