Im middle of the pack, literally. 6th best in 12 team league
rotisserie

I get
Josh Reddick
Henderson Alvarez
4th round pick next year

for
John Axford
Ian Desmond
2nd round pick next year

I would put reddick in the Utility role where currently I have Desmond at. who is doing ok

I probably wouldn't make the trade. I like the way Desmond is playing this year. And with what's been going on with closers this year, a great closer with as secure of a job as you can get is a great asset to have.

in terms of players the Reddick side certainly has more upside, but I dont think the drop from the 2nd to 4th round is worth that.

If it was 8th to 10th or something I would consider it, but a 2nd rounder is just too valuable compared to a 4th.

There just isn't much value for you here. You are totally gambling on Reddick staying hot, and you have nothing to fall back on because you are on the losing end of the draft pick swap. I wouldn't take this deal.
