Does anyone have any thoughts or predictions on what Buerhle might do this year? I picked him up for $3 in my auction(7x7. W,K,ERA,WHIP,SAVES,HOLDS, SO/BB are the pitching categories).

Thanks. His numbers have slipped each of the last couple of years so maybe since he is still young he can turn it around.

I think the Jury has some pretty good numbers, though I expect higher strikeouts and era.

I am a big Buehrle fan.

I am expecting

17 W
130 K
3.60 ERA
1.20 WHIP

Look at the splits from last year- he really turned it up after the all star break. He is coming back to his form of 2001.

He is only worth a 5th starter spot at best

K's are poor Whip and ERA are average and he's never going to get close to 20 wins again.

I can see 12 - 13 wins 100 odd k's 4.25 ERA and a 1.30 Whip
pretty mediocre stuff

A healthy declining young pitcher is not a good sign :-t

He's looked great so far in Spring Training, and I do think he's young enough to turn it around. If you look back at the last three years, take out the bad stretch at the beginning of last season and you have a great pitcher. He must improve on those peripherals though.

I think that Bruehle is a steal for $3.

I understand it's time to move on, but he KILLED me last year. Loss after loss with no hope. Of course he goes on a tear the game after I traded him.

oh well.
