Shame on Me??

Ok, so here is the deal a member in our league posted that Kemp was available for trade. I offered him BJ Upton and Greinke for Kemp. His response was "You know I won't take 2 post first 5 round picks for a guy like Kemp ... shame on you for lowballing." It is a 6 by 6 10 team 4 keeper league. The question is not would you do it, it is should I be ashamed of the offer? Please be honest, your input will be used to clear up some good clean male drama. Thanks!

The offer is a little light, but is certainly not ridiculous, especially for an opening offer. That guy is overreacting.

guy is def overreacting. this trade isnt horrible but it was a start to an open offer and it was a good start for you. the guy should have just countered with a better OF and it would have been a good deal for kemp. dont let this bring you down i see you being the better owner in this situation.

I dont think thats a bad offer at all. If I owned Kemp i would be seeking more, but Grienke is a top 10-12sp and Upton has potential to be one of the better of's in fantasy baseball especially in a keeper league. A decent opening offer. He's in the wrong, not you.

Not a bad offer but I would not do it for Kemp, but not a lowball offer either that you should be ashamed of at all. Some guys do not understand the art of the trade negotiation. You send an offer that may not be the best you can do and see what he counters, then you counter back till you get somewhere, if ya dont its fine at least you tried. What frustrates me is it seems a lot of owners are too lazy to put the trades together themselves so they hope somone one will give them the world when they say a player is on the block. Any good trade needs a starting point and it sounds like this guy needs to learn how to counter. just my opinion
