Trade Pujols?

Postby guyincognito » Mon May 21, 2012 11:51 am

With Bonifacio and Berkman going down, I now have 5 guys on the DL with only 2 DL spots and am hurting. Do I bite the bullet and deal Pujols to help me out, or should I just ride it out. There is an interested owner in Pujols, he's been asking me all season for him. He has expressed that he's looking to give Fielder+ for Pujols. I need help at 3B and OF as I was playing Bonifacio at 3B and Berkman in the OF. We do have 1 utility slot, but Ortiz typically occupies that slot. So would you do the following trade? Give Pujols Get Fielder + H.Ramirez (or ARod). He also has Uggla at 2B, which if I did, would be able to slide Zobrist into the OF, but with Kemp coming back next week, my OF solution is not as dire I guess. I could also offer Pujols, Zobrist and Ichiro for Fielder, Uggla and N.Cruz. It would kill me to give up Pujols because this is a keeper league, but I could keep Harper in his place or possibly Fielder. Not sure what to do.

DL - E.Longoria

RP - R.Soriano, S.Casilla, H.Bell, A.Aceves, M.Adams

Current keepers are probably Pujols, Longoria, and Kemp. If you make the trade, keepers are Fielder, Longoria and Kemp with Ramirez on the bubble. Nice issue to have! I would say make the trade because I believe the production will even out for the most part, plus you get some offensive assistance.

By the way, Berkman is done for the year, so you can punt him off the team and pick someone up.

Easily Fielder, Hanley and Uggla if you can get it done or at least Han Ram and Fielder

At this point for the next 2 seasons I think the difference between Prince and Pujols is very little. If you are able to get Hanley and Prince I would do it in a heartbeat.
