Neither...

I think his upside is more like Longoria or Holliday. Good BA, a lot of BB's and 25+ HR power.

But if we had to pick, Stanton. As stated, Myers is gonna hit the ball out of the park. :-b

I guess my question was, is this guys power legit, a la Stanton who just hit bombs all the time in the minors and the power obviously translated, or like Gordon, who hit tons of bombs and the power didn't translate. The reason I ask is just bc he and Gordon are playing in the same minor league ballparks, mlb park, etc.

The problem with you question is that very few players have Stanton's raw power. With Stanton the question was never whether or not he was going to hit for power but rather if he would make enough contact. And it's also silly to pull out a random player that massively failed to meet expectations. gordon didn't hit for power in the majors because he for the most part hasn't hit for anything until recently. Myers is a prospect and even though he's one of the best hitters in the minors anything can happen. he doesn't have Stanton's raw power. He's a solid all around hitter that should be good at hitting doubles, HR's, avg and getting BB's. If you're expecting 30 HR's/yr then you're probably going to be disappointed. He might hit that many but I expect him in the 20-25 range each year.

To make things easy, think of Myers as Butler with 15 SBs. Maybe some day he will be a 30 HR guy in the majors, but more likely he will be in the mid to low 20s with solid numbers across the board.
