Reyes and Joey Bats trade

Postby pungent » Sun May 20, 2012 8:15 pm

I just made this move. How'd I do?

Sent: Choo, Reyes, Hellickson, Carols Lee
Received: Bautista and Greinke

I had Ian Desmond lighting my bench on fire for the past couple of days so I felt inclined to move Reyes.

Here was my team before hand.

HR R RBI SB TB K AVG OPS
W QS K SV ERA WHIP
C Ramos
1B Pujols
2B Hill
3B Zimmerman

OF Choo
OF Stubbs
Utl Butler
Bench:Alvarez/GarySanchez/Snider/I.Desmond/B.Starling/Beltran/W.Rosario/X.Bogaerts/W.Myers/Lavarnway

I like the deal. You upgrade your pitching nicely, and Bautista is starting to hit home runs daily again. Nice work.

I've been forced to turn you into the police. Not just for theft but also for taking advantage of the mentally handicapped.

In other words- great trade for you.

Very nice trade.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I was quite shocked to see that it was accepted, since this was one of my favorite offers I made that night. I guess I can stop obsessing over McCutchen and Cabrera for the next couple of weeks :-D

If only Pujols can get his crap back together...

C Ramos
1B Pujols
2B Hill
3B Zimmerman
SS Desmond
OF Heyward
OF Bautista
OF Stubbs
Utl Butler
Bench:Alvarez/Gaby Sanchez/Snider/B.Starling/C Beltran/W.Rosario/X.Bogaerts/W.Myers/R Lavarnway
SP Greinke/Jimenez/Price/Gallardo/Nolasco/Anderson/Kennedy/Hughes/Sabathia/Matusz
RP Storen/Kimbrel/Brothers

This makes your rotation so sick. You need to maybe sell Beltran high and see if you can acquire a stud 2b. Come on Gallardo/CC/Greinke in a 16 teamer come on! If Kennedy gets it together = domination.

Haha, yeah thanks! Don't forget about Price!! ;-D

That's my next step is to address my 2B spot. I can deal with my C being a bit weak as I feel I got some studs in the making.

I think I'll see if I can flip Beltran for Phillips or Ackly. What do you think about that move?

I'd shoot a little better than a marginal 2b. At least get someone who is productive solidly. Heck IDK who to tell you to go after. Beltran has been a beast you might can at least offer him up for a top shelf 2b. You can't ignore what he's done and sell on that.

Thanks for the input. I'm going after a couple lowerish options right now (Ackley, Phillips, R.Weeks, Beckham, Altuve, Utley %-6 ). The owners of guys like Pedrioa, Cano, Kinsler, Kipnis are really budging. I'm pretty persistant though, so hopefully I can make something work.

Please see my Longoria Zimmerman thread. Need opinions there!!
