Trading Pujols...WHIR

Postby Zhangman1 » Fri May 18, 2012 4:19 pm

6x6 OPS, Hlds...16 Team H2H...Keep 5 at the end of the year. I have Pujols and have 2 trade offers from different teams:

1) McCutchen, Bumgardner, Lincecum for Pujols + Ricky Romero

2) Hosmer, Allen Craig for Pujols + Ernesto Frieri

Both are really really tempting. Should I except either, ask for more, or hold out on Pujols for one more year.

My team:
C Miguel Montero
1B Pujols
2B Aaron Hill
3B Alex Rodriguez
SS Troy Tulowitzki
OF Carlos Gonzalez
OF Matt Holliday
OF Carlos Lee
Util Will Middlebrooks
Util Adam LaRoche
BN Ichiro Suzuki
DL Stephen Drew; Carlos Quentin

SP
Clayton Kershaw
Wandy Rodriguez
Ricky Romero
Max Scherzer
Johnny Cueto
Doug Fister

RP
Chris Perez
James Russell
Hector Santiago
Santiago Casilla
Luke Gregerson
Dale Thayer
Ernesto Frieri
Henry Rodriguez

Not a big fan of either deal but if I had to choose I'd pick 1. Thanks for your help on mine.

Trade two is a pretty significant lowball trade if you ask me. Trade one is more even. Adding Bum and Lincy...you're going to rise and fall with the Giants, but it makes your pitching staff MUCH more solid. Cutch is obviously a big boost to your OF. It's pretty even, but if I had to pick one, it's DEFINITELY Trade 1. Trade 2 is, unless I'm missing something, laughable.

I think trade 1 helps your staff quite a bit (already good but just that much more depth).

Trade 2 is terrible but I think I would take Trade 1. I like the talent you would be getting back. Lince has to turn it around, Bum is a stud, and Cutch helps your OF. Nice deal.

please help
