Start Joyce or Victorino?? May 18 WHIR ALWAYS

Who should I start today, Matt Joyce or Shane Victorino?


Matt Joyce is facing Tommy Hanson, who he has never seen before.

Shane Victorino is facing Daniel Bard, who he is 0-2 against with a K.


Joyce definitely has the tougher matchup, and he has never faced Tommy before so that benefits Tommy more then Joyce.
Shane has a good matchup, but he hasn't been hitting very well lately. I could use the SB potential tho so I am leaning towards Victorino.



So who would you start?

I would start victorino...bard has been pretty bad thus far as for the rest of the red sox pitching...plus just 0-2 is a really small sample size to say that bard has his number...i would go with victorino

maybe bard's control issues will lead to victorino walks which could lead to steals. if you need steals then shane seems to be the right move.

I think you answered your own question: you need steals, and Victorino has the easier matchup. I'd go with Shane for tonight, and thanks for the help on mine!
