7 Ks through 3.
Wow. I added him on one team today after owning him earlier in the year and regretting dropping him. I'm thinking of just grabbing this guy on all my teams that have a guy to drop.
Would you drop Latos or Smyly for Mcdonald?
My starters are
Sabthia Darvish Strasburg Lilly Hammel Latos Smyly Friedrich
It never fails. He does though still have that other thing still going on.
McCutchen is making this Pittsburgh highlight reel a good one. Best catch I've seen in CF this year last inning then leads off with his second bomb of the day. I'm totally missing Beachy's start for this but well worth it.
And Tabata just took one of the worst routes to a baseball I've ever seen. Absolutely ugly.
What's up with Beachy? Completely different pitcher this year. He's not missing any bats but he's getting a ton of ground balls, just pounding the zone. Tim Hudson School of Pitching, I guess. Would be really nice to see that league-leading K/9 make an appearance, though I suppose I'll settle for league leading ERA. Doesn't he know my team has an innings cap so I don't care if he's efficient?
Beachy is a stud. I worry about how straight his fastball is, but its a very hard fastball that is currently breaking a lot of bats. His offspeed stuff has been brilliant and I think the difference this year is his command is better. He's not throwing all his junk in the dirt going for swings and misses. He's hitting spots and generating weak contact.

I came here to also talk about Beachy. I want the K's! last year he had 10.74 K/9, would have lead the league if he had enough innings to qualify. my first year in a keeper league this year and I kept him (along with David Price/Konerko/Uggla/RZimmerman) because of his great K potential this year.

Melvin Mora told Venezuelan newspaper Líder en Deportes that he will fly to the United States this weekend to begin negotiations with the Giants and Reds. The story was passed along by MLB Trade Rumors. Mora said his agent received offers from both teams last week, but he didn't yet know the terms. The 40-year-old reportedly turned down a minor league offer from the Rangers in February because he preferred to sign with a team on the East Coast. He batted just .228/.244/.276 in 135 plate appearances last season for the Diamondbacks.
I hope it's the Giants. the Reds don't need him, give Todd Frazier a chance. although I am biased, I picked up Frazier in a deep 16 team league.
