The Diamondbacks have promoted pitching prospect Trevor Bauer from Double-A Mobile to Triple-A Reno.
A well-deserved bump for Bauer, who continues to skyrocket through the Diamondbacks' farm system. He registered a fantastic 1.68 ERA and 60/26 K/BB ratio in 48 1/3 innings this year at the Double-A level and should work his way up to the major leagues before the All-Star break. The 21-year-old right-hander is worth a stash in fantasy leagues that allow bench spots.

I'm glad that they are moving Bauer up before Skaggs. Have Skaggs on my minor league roster and I don't have room for him on my active roster so I want him held down until next year.

they just drafted him last year. I know he's dominated at AA this year, but should one really expect him to come up to the DBacks this season? isn't that rushing him? maybe it's premature ejac, err a little too soon to be expecting greatness even at AAA.

My hopes were dashed. I went to my team page and got the blurb that Bauer was promoted. I had double fists in the air as I kept reading to AAA. Fists fall down and a small kitten dies somewhere.
