Trade #1 I give Miguel Cabrera I get CC Sabathia and Adrian Gonzalez
Trade #2 I give Joey Votto I get Mark Texiera and Tim Lincecum
Should I be considering either one of these? My gut says no, but Trade #1 is slightly tempting.

Number two is definitely a pass imo. The issue with #1 is since you only have 4 keepers unless you plan on keeping both you are basically giving up Mig Cab for one guy and a one year rental. I'd stay put without more info though it sort of depends on who you plan to keep.
Trade 1 is very intriguing. While I typically would not trade Cabrera, this is one case where I would consider it. You're staff seems pretty solid, so unless you feel you need to add Sabathia, I'd probably sit tight, but I could see taking this deal as well. I would stay far away from deal 2 though. Might as well reject that one right now.
I pass on #2 without batting an eye. Number one I'd have to consider. I think you could use a front end starter in your ranks and Sabathia would be just that. Adrian by years end, shouldn't give you that much of a dropoff at the position from Cabrera. That said...the circus that is Boston at the moment may go on all year and become a distraction for the whole team, causing them to underperform. That idea scares me away a little bit. I think if either trade were proposed to me, my gut would tell me no on either to be honest. A really difficult no on trade #1. It's a judgement call.
If you feel that your pitching is lacking, then #1 is fine. Gonzalez should return to form when some key players get back for the Sox. Sabathia will be great as always. Unless you think you'll miss that dual eligibility, then this is a pretty good trade for you to build up your numbers.
As for #1, it's fair in terms of value, so it comes down to context. You can keep 4, so at the moment you're keeping: MCab, Votto, Cano, and either HanRam or Bruce (nice keepers). If you make the trade, you'll be keeping AGon, Votto, Cano and either HanRam or Bruce or CC.
So you need to ask yourself whether or not you can compete this season for the title, if so, then make the deal as your pitching will benefit from the addition of CC. If not, I'd stick with MCab.
