Deal Hosmer? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Thu May 17, 2012 11:06 am

Will Hosmer turn this around or is he likely to see a AAA demotion? I could probably ship him off with Smyly for Moustakas and an arm. What say you? Just bench him and play Kubel for
now?

I have to be honest...I like Moustakas more than I like Hosmer. And Hosmer + Smyly isn't a bad offer for Moustakas. Your 1B is stacked with Prince and Dunn (finally performing again). But your 3B is also really solid with Miggy and Bonifacio. I don't know...I think it's good value for Hosmer, but at the same time it might be worth it to hang on to Smyly and collect the pitching points rather than lose him for Moustakas. I'd probably stand pat for now, you should be able to do better than Moose for Hosmer and Smyly.

I would try to hold on to him for now. I mean, I'm sure you drafted him fairly high and you would not get even close to that type of value now. See if he can turn it around a little bit and build up a little more value before you deal him. Looking at your team it's not like he is not hurting you not playing right now.

They are moving him around the line up to see if it will help him. I also know that he is not striking out as much so that is also a good sign. His BA on BIP is sooooo low its going to have to pick up to even acceptable means at some point.

Help with mine guys?
